Production Designer, Media Team - 34857214

The Production Designer is a member of Apple’s Sales Communications and Media team. They will work on internal and external facing projects under the direction of senior graphic designers. The scope of work ranges from digital publishing to presentation design. The Production Designer demonstrates a passion for great design and the ability to achieve it. They will have a highly refined design aesthetic and ability to work within the Apple brand. This person should have excellent communication skills and be able to articulate the rationale behind their work.

Description:
Produces a wide range of work including, but not limited to, email templates, document templates, iBooks, and presentations
Works with senior designers to implement work and solicit feedback
Establish rapport, collaborate and trade feedback with designers, and problem solve with writers and editors
Participates in the strategic shaping of projects
Work within set visual standards and guidelines
Self-manages projects and deadlines
Takes direction but can also make decisions independently

Key Qualifications:
•5+ years experience working as a Production Designer in an agency or corporate environment
•Expert knowledge of Adobe CC suite and other industry-standard creative tools
•Working knowledge of iWork apps and iBooks Author
•Mac OS X and iOS power-user
•Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
•Demonstrated experience establishing and/or working within existing brand visual standards
•Problem solver, quick study, and self starter
•Highly detail-oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
•Thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment
•Solid knowledge of the creative process, including typical time and resources needed to produce work on time, at high quality, and to specification
•Savvy in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion
•Excellent organization skills to structure your documents in a way that can be easily understood and modified by others

Education:
BA/BFA in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or equivalent work experience

Additional Requirements:
Expertise in iWork apps
Expertise in iBooks Author
Midlevel coding skills in HTML/CSS
Video editing
Photo retouching
