HR Specialist

Bron Studios is looking for an HR Specialist who is professional and approachable with the ability to multi-task with intricate detail. You also have superior relationship building skills, and the ability to go the extra mile in a fast paced, ever-changing HR and recruiting environment.

As the Human Resources Specialist, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the HR/Recruiting functions. You have a genuine interest in Human Resources and in fostering a positive, creative and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

·      Recruiting responsibilities include setting up interviews, job postings, prescreening and reference checking

·      Actively developing and maintaining applicant tracking database?

·      Helping build systems to create recruitment tools including job descriptions, competency profiles and offer letters to improve efficiency and develop uniformity across the company?

·      Supporting the further development and implementation of recruitment methods in order to successfully attract top quality candidates appropriate to the position and company needs?

·      Actively participating and administering employment offers and contracts, orientations, terminations, immigration and relocation, employee relations, legal compliance and compensation

·      Developing, implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures as required and ensure legal compliance.

Requirements

·      4+ years in a Human Resources role supporting a mid-size employee base of 40 -100 in the animation industry

·      A degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or relevant discipline combined with experience.

·      Experience with immigration law.

·      Recruiting Experience.

·      Expert knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, including the BC Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation.

·       Expert knowledge in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and the ability to grasp new technologies quickly.

·      Ability to think "outside the box" to create and explore new opportunities.

·      Detailed oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills.

·      Superior interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.

·      Comfortable and experienced in presenting and deal effectively with employees, contractors, and executives at all levels.

·      Proven ability to build rapport and maintain a high level of confidence, trust and integrity within the organization.

·      Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

·      A good sense of humour, flexible, empathetic personality and "Can-do" attitude.
