Entry Level Character Artist

Idol Minds is an independent game developer that has been creating fun and innovative games for the past 17 years.  We are currently in development on multiple mobile titles and are seeking some talented artists to join our team.

Requirements:

• Create character assets for an upcoming mobile title
• Be able to work quickly and efficiently while adhering to the established art direction
• Excellent work ethic, self-motivation, able to accept constructive criticism and art direction
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn new methods and techniques for asset creation
• Ability and willingness to adapt to new art styles
• Able to create efficient strategies for asset completion

Qualifications:

• A portfolio link showcasing your highest quality 3d and 2d artwork
• Proficiency creating 3d assets in Maya
• Proficiency creating 2d artwork in Photoshop
• Solid understanding of artistic fundamentals such as light, color and composition
• Solid understanding of the human form, proportions, and mechanics
• Experience with animation, rigging, or rendering in Maya is a plus

Idol Minds is an independent game developer located in Colorado between Denver and Boulder next to the Rocky Mountains.  We have an experienced, close-knit team with exceptional technical, artistic and design skills.  We’re currently growing, with multiple titles in development and two running in live operations.  Our current focus is mobile, but we’re also expanding back into the console game space.
