Senior Technical Artist (m/f)

As Senior Technical Artist (m/f) you will be tasked with creating tools that fit our artists needs and help to get rid of repetitive work. You will also work on the production pipeline automating workflows or reviewing existing workflows to improve them if needed. You will on a vast variety of tasks in different programs and languages.

Your job:

  • Build, maintain, manage, and support 3D production pipelines
  • Maintain, manage and develop 3D Tools
  • Mentor and support our other tech artists (give feedback, training)
  • Maintain and further improve of the high quality of our assets and products
  • Work closely with the art-, game design- and development departments to ensure and support communication

Your profile:

  • A master’s degree in computer science or media design, or a comparable qualification
  • Knowledge of different scripting languages (Javascript, Python, MEL, Maxscript, ActionScript), in-depth experience with at least one language
  • Ability to learn new scripting languages quickly 
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, C++ or C#
  • Ability to create automations for 3D and 2D programs in different languages (with and without UI mainly for non-programmers)
  • Experience with production pipelines and understanding of game workflows
  • Knowledge of XML/XPath, or other structured languages
  • Experience in working with structured modeling languages (UML / BPMN / etc.)
  • Extensive experience with the technical details of game production, texture compression, object representation in different engines / programs, file formats, etc.
  • Knowledge of 3D packages (Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, Cinema 4D), in-depth experience with at least one of the programs
  • Knowledge of 2D packages (Photoshop, Indesign, Flash), major experience in at least one of the programs
  • Knowledge of compositing programs such as Nuke / Fusion is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to connect art with development
  • Several years` professional experience as a technical artist
