Senior Multimedia Specialist

Description

The position will support the executive director in establishing and coordinating processes and procedures for production of media. This will include supporting the managerial aspects of team production in media, 2D/3D art and entrepreneurial studies. Coordinate with faculty on team projects, specifically theFIEA capstone project, to establish processes, routines and feedback systems to facilitate communication and learning for the student-team environment. Coordinate with executive director and faculty to facilitate production of entrepreneurial venture projects. Provide consulting for faculty and students regarding art, animation, production and technical skills for today’s multimedia industries. Serve as liaison for faculty and studio services to ensure productive uses of studios and foster leading edge techniques that can be looped back into student curriculum. Serve as liaison with other university departments, centers and institutes in collaboration with FIEA. Consult students on art portfolio and techniques. Coordinate with IT and technical art staff regarding equipment resources for students and projects. Support FIEA with outreach internally and externally during the new UCF Downtown initiative.

Preferences: Bachelor’s degree in media, technology or production from an accredited institution. Five years or more of experience in a related field. Project management experience in entertainment technology fields such as video games, movies (live-action or animation), simulation (military, medical, etc.), theme parks attractions and experiences. Small business or entrepreneurial knowledge and experience. Working knowledge of game engines, level design, and or art pipelines a plus.
