ATL - Part-time Professor of Animation (adjunct)

Join SCAD’s extraordinary, award-winning faculty as a part-time adjunct professor of animation. Qualified candidates will have industry experience, a formidable portfolio, and demonstrate, by providing a superior-grade video reel or website, an expert proficiency in 3-D character animation, rigging, animation software and other aspects of character technical direction.

Requirements:
- Qualified candidates will have an M.F.A., or equivalent, in animation or a related discipline
- College-level teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of related industries and sophisticated communication skills
- Strong portfolio with at least 10 years industry experience
- Character TD skills should include the following: broken rig creation, cartoony and naturalistic rigging, biped, quadruped, facial setup, multiple styles of rigging setups including CNTRL-less rigging, solid naming conventions and production methodologies, creation of auto-rigging and other animation production tools, MEL/Python scripting knowledge, and proficiency in animation pipeline between multiple packages
- Rigging knowledge in Maya required; Houdini, C++ and/or Maya API experience preferred
