Software Engineer, Pipeline & Production

Description

Shotgun is an award winning product that studios of all sizes use for video & film production management. Our, worldwide team is trying to do the same for production pipelines and we are looking for the right person to join us.

Autodesk Consulting works closely with customers to help them achieve their creative, production and business goals.  We work alongside and are embedded with the leading studios in Feature Film, Games, and Post Production. This role offers you a chance to work with key customers from the film & gaming industry around the world to help drive their success.

About the role

You will design and implement solutions that improve our existing workflows, integrations and overall production pipeline efficiency. You will accelerate customers’ deployment of new workflows, influence product direction, and increase the value of Autodesk technologies for our customers.

You will be bringing deep technical knowledge of our product and its application in Film, TV and/or Game production. You will be working first-hand in production with producers, supervisors, coordinators and developers.

You love learning efficient workflows from production teams and work directly with them to make intuitive, effective, and elegant tools that benefit everyone. You enjoy and value conversations with end users and know how important such conversations are to a successful delivery. You are able to thread the needle of delivering well designed, supportable tools that are production friendly and delivered on a production timeline.

We think that your background is in computer science, but more important than that is that you have experience designing and building a significant portion of a studio’s pipeline and have supported it through multiple projects. Ideally you have experience building Qt interfaces and have used Shotgun in production. You also have the technical chops to dive in and write plug-ins for a variety of applications used in content creation (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, etc.).

If writing a pipeline that studios of all sizes around the world enjoy using is a challenge that inspires you, then let’s talk.
