Animated Feature Line Producer

Axis are currently seeking an experienced Line Producer to join them on-site in Glasgow to support with an upcoming Feature project.

Due to the current climate, the role will initially be remote however will be based in our flagship Glasgow studio.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a passionate team in one of the UK’s leading Animation studios.

The Features Line Producer is central to the feature’s project management. As Features Line Producer, you will liaise with all aspects of production and post-production: Director, Editor, VFX Supervisor and Producer, internal Production and Supervisors as well as artists. Collaborating closely with the Leads and Supervisors, this role will help to strategize, implement tasks and targets crucial to the delivery of the project on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Production, Leads and Supervisors to create, implement and run the schedule, track and manage the workflow through the departments and meet internal and external deadlines

  • Assist HOD’s with scope breakdowns and support with any issues

  • Track costs and progress of feature project reporting this on a weekly basis

  • Manage shotgun information for project and Artists

  • Anticipate and communicate issues to the Director and Supervisors in order to resolve problems quickly

  • Manage edits alongside the Editorial department

  • Manage resources and communicate clearly any issues in a timely manner

  • Facilitate project dailies, rounds and meetings

  • Oversee delivery of shots to client

  • Manage relationship with client and provide verbal and written updates regularly

  • Ensure communication flows between coordinators, artists and supervisors

  • Communicate feedback from the client/supervisors directly to HODs/Leads/Artists

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop a production team

  • Experience of working in a similar role for a feature production is essential

  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate potential challenges and make difficult decisions

  • A strong sense of initiative, and the ability to self manage, multi-task and prioritize

  • Enjoy working under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
