Assistant Lecturer

Emerging Technology in Business & Design (ETBD): Assistant Lecturer in mixed reality experience design to teach in motion graphics/interactive VFX/creative direction in experiential design, develop immersive experiential design curricula, develop and manage lab facilities for immersive extended reality students, advise students, and contribute to professional and institutional services. ETBD faculty are actively involved in advising students; facilitating graduate/undergraduate interdisciplinary research projects; leading client-based projects; and help lead co-curricular activities, student organizations. Position is not eligible for tenure and begins August 16, 2021.

Required: Bachelor’s degree related to design, business, technology, games, media, or communications and a minimum of five years’ experience in entertainment design production and/or creative direction. Teaching in the areas of motion graphics, interactive VFX, mixed reality and/or experiential design. This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with an accomplished teaching record in immersive extended reality, curricular development in immersive experiential design, an accomplished record in guiding senior project work, an accomplished record of integrating extended reality hardware and software systems including Notch and Touch Designer.
