Job Summary

Regent University’s School of Communication & the Arts is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Animation with experience in 2D and 3D including Modeling/Rigging.  This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach campus.

Qualifications include: 3+ years of Animation, VFX, or Video Game industry; experience creating low and high res production models (organic/hard surface); ZBrush or Mudbox sculpting experience; proficiency translating 2D artwork to 3D models/sculpts; high level of proficiency in Maya and Photoshop; texture and shading networks; intermediate rigging knowledge; and strong problem-solving skills.  In addition, facial blend shape targets, scripting (Python) and custom tool development, Unreal Engine experience, and an enthusiastic and energetic teaching style are preferred.

Responsibilities will include teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, serving on various committees, curriculum development, portfolios, senior projects, and continued professional industry development.
