Description
We’re looking for a Senior 3D Environment Artist with a keen attention to detail and a passion for environmental storytelling to help bring our content creation platform to life. You will be responsible for modeling and texturing both realistic and stylized 3D environment assets as well as helping to set, decorate and build out the world. We strongly believe in artists' empowerment, so the artist will have a very high level of creative freedom when making environments. This is not a position where you are told what to do and don't have creative freedom!
You will be one of the key drivers of the platform's creative vision and will help define the overall look and feel of a wide variety of environments, individual hero assets, and others.
Your role as the Senior 3D Environment Artist, aside from the designing awesome high end environment assets, would be helping out implementing new production methods to reach the best results within given time frames.

Responsibilities
- Create high quality, realistic and stylized 3d assets for architecture, nature, and props, taking them through the modeling, texturing, and baking pipeline
- Provide accurate time estimates of how long it will take to complete a task, including assessing technical restrictions, iteration, and review time
- Set dressing and world building in UE engine
- Work with the art director and leads to ensure artistic unity across the platform and help develop the world from prototype to final art
- Collaborate with the concept and design team members in planning asset production
- Research subject matter relating to objectives to ensure an authentic experience
- Asset Optimization
Qualifications
- 3+ total years in the games of film industry working in an environment art capacity
- An inspiring portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual ideas and visual creativity to form original assets
- Proven experience in the development and release of successful 3D assets for at least 1 AAA shipped game or TV/Film production
- A high level of proficiency in tools for modeling (3dsMax, Maya, Blender or equivalent) and PBR texturing and materials (Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter Marvelous Designer, or equivalents).
- Experience with the Unreal Engine level editor
- Exceptional understanding and application of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling with an excellent eye for light, shade, color, and detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
