Be a part of the future of the top animation software available! Autodesk's animation tools bring 3D to life in the top films and games with products that include Autodesk Maya and Autodesk 3dsMax. As part of the Autodesk Animation team, you'll be taking character animation to the next level of usability, functionality and performance. Our team creates features that span a broad range including: traditional animation, previs, virtual cinematography, games and procedural animation.

In this position, your primary role would be the design and development of features and workflows aimed at animation professionals who use Softimage and Motion Builder, as well as exploring advanced techniques for sharing high performance animation data between Autodesk applications.

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about animation, with the ability and desire to tackle problems in multiple domains such as: usability, new algorithms, feature enhancement, data exchange and performance tuning. A good comfort level with using animation tools and the overall process of creating character animation via a professional software package is also required.

The Autodesk Singapore R&D centre (ASRD) is one of the largest product development facilities among multinational companies in Singapore, and expands the Autodesk global engineering and software development program. It works closely with other Autodesk R&D teams around the world - in China, India, Europe, the US and Canada- in a range of design software activities. These include development of components and technologies for a range of products for various industries, including Autodesk's flagship AutoCAD software; helping develop brand new products; developing drivers and plug-ins to extend product functionality; and working to extend interoperability between products.

ASRD is situated in Fusionopolis, a mixed commercial-residential development that houses infocomm and media industries, together with F&B, fitness, and other lifestyle establishments. Fusionopolis is itself situated within the one-north development with connection to Singapore's Biomedical, Science and Academic hubs.

Responsibilities:
In this position you will design and develop new animation and workflow features in the Softimage Face Robot and Softimage ICE module.
