Game Development Engineering Manager

Job Description: Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and schedules daily tasks'' uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.

Responsibilities: In this position, you will be joining a fast paced Software Engineering team within the Software Solutions Group responsible for preparing Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to take advantage of next generation graphics on Intel desktop and mobile platforms and providing industry feedback back into the platform design teams. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading a team of software engineers including planning, resourcing, and directing activities to meet schedules, standards, and cost. The team has direct interaction with ISV customer base to identify and analyze opportunity, define plans, and solutions for delivering software applications in support of Intel platforms.
- Providing guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues
- Understanding the inner workings of architecture and relating that platform knowledge including CPU, Graphics, and subsystems to our customers to assist them in creating compelling software to support Intel® product messaging for sales and marketing forces.
- Analyzing new opportunities in graphics, drive the creation and delivery of exploratory projects, and drive strategic decisions in SSG, Intel, and partners. Not only will you help set direction, but your strong software architecture, design and development skills will be applied to building and helping others build new technology to demonstrate and deliver required new usages, tools, and building blocks
