o Reporting to the Line Producer, manage the day-to-day operation of all the departments including crew scheduling, milestones, resources and deadlines to ensure that the production goals are met within the budget, timelines and quality planned.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
o The Production Manager develops procedures and methodology to track, analyze and report on weekly departmental trends regarding productivity, quota and long term planning, has on-going contact with the Line Producer and Directors and must be skilled at the quick analysis and reporting required to meet ongoing daily/weekly challenges with solutions.
o Based upon the master production schedule and tracking system as discussed and agreed with the Line Producer, keep updated the departments production schedule monitoring the progress of each department.
o The Production Manager continuously evaluates and manages the production schedule. They review and track all aspects of the production process, Identify schedule and workflow variances incurred from approved production schedule and pipeline; recommend corrective action if necessary and prepares recommendations for improvements in the production process to meet the delivery schedule.
o Following the guidelines of the Line Producer ensures that any changes in the production priority order are followed by all the departments.
o Effectively delegate production schedules and tracking systems to Production Coordinators and Production Assistants to manage, oversee and run departments, supervising their progress on a daily basis. They work together to review production goals and determine the proper way to reach them by troubleshooting potential scenarios.
o The Production Manager work with the Line Producer, Directors, Supervisors and Human Resources to arise the personnel issues with Production Coordinators, Artists, Leads and Supervisors, accomplished by directly coaching and managing individuals of their team to help them achieve performance expectations.
o The Production Manager works with Directors and Line Producer to measure and manage creative scope and technical processes within schedule and budget parameters. The Production Manager needs to understand and influence the factors that make up the complexity of the film and when necessary manage the reduction of complexity.
