User Interface Designer/Workflow Expert

DAZ is looking for a User Interface Designer/Workflow Expert. As a part of our product management team, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and implementing innovative, intuitive and user-friendly graphical user interfaces for new products and features, as well as improving current ones. The user interface designer will also be involved in user research activities around workflow and task analysis. DAZ’s products currently consist of DAZ Studio, Carrara, Bryce, Hexagon, and Mimic.

Required experience:
* Degree in a field such as human-computer interaction, graphic or information design, or related combination of training and work experience
* 5+ years designing, documenting, and implementing graphical user interfaces for highly interactive systems
* Experience with user-centered design practices and research methods
* Working experience of MacOS X and Windows
* Expertise with design support tools such as Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, etc.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
* Design and Develop new user interfaces for new products and features, as well as change / update existing user interfaces for DAZ’s products. A particular focus of improving ease of use and workflow are critical for this position and should be demonstrated with your experience
* Work directly with content, visual design, engineering, and other teams to deliver innovative, user-centered design solutions for products
* Work with engineering and content production teams to understand technical issues
* Produce mock-ups and detailed specifications of your designs for product managers to review and approve

Preferred attributes:
* Inherently know what makes users tick and understand how to explain that behavior
* Creative mind focused on developing innovative, intuitive and user-friendly GUIs
* The ability to balance business, marketing, and creative goals to drive user-interaction
* Experience with usability evaluation techniques to test interface designs within an iterative development methodology
