Senior Environment Artist

Description

Midway Studios Austin is seeking a talented, enthusiastic Environment Artist to work with an experienced team creating new worlds for groundbreaking Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC titles.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with an internal team of artists and external team of contractors to deliver level environment treatments on a strict timeline.
• Model, texture, and polish interior & exterior architecture and world objects based on conceptual artwork and reference photography.
• Create and compile concept art and other reference imagery to help drive the construction of the environment.
• Work together with the Art Director, Environment Lead and other team members to create amazing, gameplay focused environments.
• Must be able to direct external contractors to coordinate out-sourcing of models, textures, and other environment needs.
• Incorporate the feedback from your leads & peers to make requested changes in a positive and constructive way.
• Participate in meetings, reviews, and planning as part of effective communication with the team.
