TELECOM ParisTech is seeking an experienced candidate willing to lead research activities in the domain of 3D data processing, modeling and visualization. This associate professor position aims to develop this activity in the Image Processing and Understanding group (Taitement et Interprétation des images, TII) of the Signal and Image Processing department (Traitement du signal et des Images, TSI) [1]. TELECOM ParisTech [2] (formally known as Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, ENST) is one of the top-ranked engineering schools in France [3] and belongs to the TELECOM Institute [4]. TELECOM ParisTech shares the LTCI laboratory (UMR 5141) [5] with the CNRS [6]. The position also includes teaching activities in 3D data processing and computer graphics.

Geometry processing is a fast-growing area of research with applications covering a wide range of areas and using concepts from applied mathematics, computer science and engineering to design efficient algorithms for the acquisition, reconstruction, analysis, manipulation, simulation and transmission of complex 3D models. 3D data processing is present in many research activities of the TSI department: shape recognition and scene understanding, sensor fusion (3D scans, multi-camera, video sequences…), 3D reconstruction, scientific visualization, virtual reality, 3D data mining, multimedia indexing, 3D TV, etc. The TII research group enjoys a high international reputation in a variety of fields such as computer vision, 3D reconstruction, satellite and radar image processing, medical imaging. The group is currently involved in various European and national projects with numerous academic and industrial partners.

REMUNERATION:
At the TELECOM Institute, compensation is attractive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The basic annual gross salary minimum indicator for an associate research professor with little experience in the classification is € 38000. To this salary is added a variable annual allowance (0 to 12% of basic annual salary).
