ImageMovers Digital is a new motion picture studio in Marin County devoted to the performance capture films of Academy Award-winning director/producer Robert Zemeckis. Established in 2006, we currently employ over 250 employees and continue to search for talented individuals to join our company. We are currently in production on the new performance capture feature “A Christmas Carol” starring Jim Carrey as Scrooge and the three ghosts.

Audio Visual Technician

The IMD Audio Visual (AV) Technician will work in collaboration with the Principal AV Engineer in providing technical support services for all existing AV systems at IMD, and assist in the ongoing build and installation of AV systems throughout the company. Typical areas include:
IMD Feature and Shorts Editorial
IMD Video and Standard Conference Rooms
Presentation Theaters
Digital Dailies Rooms
AV Machine Rooms
IMD Data Center
Motion Capture (MoCap) Stage


Responsibilities:

• Achieve and Maintain expert knowledge of existing AV systems at IMD
• Provide first-response AV support for Editorial departments, and all other Studio AV systems, including AV Conference Rooms and Theater AV systems
• Installation, Maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment associated with Editorial and Studio AV as needed. This includes professional production AV equipment, Avid / Final Cut Pro Editing systems, Cameras, Digital Cinema Projectors, Video-Teleconference systems, AV control systems, Motion Capture equipment, etc
• Perform hardware/software upgrades and provide basic training to staff on new features of AV systems as needed
• Assist in the build and integration of custom AV systems for the digital animation production workflow.
• Maintain current knowledge of technology related to AV systems at IMD
• Assist in the planning and setup of AV systems for company events.
