ImageMovers Digital is a new motion picture studio in Marin County devoted to the performance capture films of Academy Award-winning director/producer Robert Zemeckis. Established in 2006, we currently employ over 250 employees and continue to search for talented individuals to join our company. We are currently in production on the new performance capture feature “A Christmas Carol” starring Jim Carrey as Scrooge and the three ghosts.

Assistant Technical Director

ImageMovers Digital ATDs provide show and shot support for a particular production. They are responsible for writing, updating, and maintaining show specific tools and documentation and working closely with the Production Technology group and other Digital Artists to ensure that shots are successfully progressing through the digital production pipeline.


Responsibilities:

• Function as front line liaisons between shot production artists and the technology pipeline group at the studio.
• Responsible for learning the studio’s production pipeline in order to successfully support the progression of shots through the production pipeline.
• Responsible for support, integration testing, bug reporting and writing of custom tools and/or software scripts that facilitate shot progression with the help of the pipeline leads and teams.
• Responsible for quality checking assets, enforcing directory and naming conventions, file maintenance, cleaning up directories and setting up shots.
• Will work closely with the Production Technology TDs to ensure that shots are running successfully across all aspects of production.
• Proactively offers solutions and/or fixes for failed shots through the proper channels and helps to mentor and train artists on new tools and pipeline technology when necessary.
• Assists artists and Technical Directors with troubleshooting and debugging production problems; may be asked to assist with other aspects of the artistic components of the production pipeline.
• Works closely with the Production Engineers to ensure that code is clean and well maintained.
• May be accountable for assigned aspects of element creation.
• Additional technical and/or administrative tasks may be assigned to ATDs.
