Ex’pression College for Digital Arts has an opening for a Director of Industry Relations; Career Development at our Emeryville campus. Ex’pression College is unlike any other arts college in California. We feature an accelerated style of learning, professional grade art and sound recording studios, 24x7 access, dozens of faculty with significant industry experience and most importantly, a strong supportive culture that respects the artist. Ex’pression is accredited by the ACCSC and offers Bachelor degree programs in Sound Arts, Game Art; Design, Animation &; Visual Effects, and Motion Graphic Design. We have hundreds of successful alumni already working in the arts and entertainment industry.

Under limited direction, this Director of Industry Relations; Career Development position for the visual arts programs will interface with visual industry professionals, companies, and organizations to enhance Ex’pression’s profile in the industry and optimize employment opportunities for our Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, and Game Art Design graduates. A substantial network of professional connections, working knowledge of the mediums involved, and sensitivity to student, employer, staff and faculty needs is essential. We are looking for someone who could broaden and deepen our range of opportunities not only in entertainment, but in all fields that could apply the skills our students learn. Candidates should be prepared to look for opportunities for graduates with a wide range of skill levels and proven ability.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in most social and business situations; previous experience working in either the Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Effects or Game Design industries; be willing to travel to trade shows, exhibitions and conferences to make and build relationships with companies and individuals in the industries; confident in ability to critique student work; and endurance, stamina, and enthusiasm to guide and counsel our students as they embark on their first steps into the professional visual industries.
