Product Marketing Manager

Based in Foster City, California, SCEA serves as headquarters for all North American operations and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.

The Product Marketing Manager is the primary marketing stakeholder for his/her assigned software products. This position oversees all aspects of software product marketing from inception through commercial release. This person should be a highly driven experienced marketing professional who has developed and led successful product launches of new or established brands.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Managing software product(s) through their entire life cycle from early design phases through post-launch.
• Develop and implement strategic positioning, execute marketing plans, and define budgetary parameters.
• Interface with members of product development, legal, finance, sales and marketing departments to successfully develop innovative marketing programs.
• Conduct and analyze market research data to define product positioning, as well as monitor competitive activity and identify consumer needs. Understand and investigate market trends.
• Manage the relationship with development studios by working closely with production team leaders on market research, product feature improvements and enhancements, and the development of new products.
• Provide marketing guidance in support of marketing campaigns and strategic decision making.
• Maintain a holistic perspective on campaign development, studio projects, and relationship building.
• Plan and develop marketing communications, advertising, promotional and PR programs to enhance sales of product(s).
• Work directly with the ad agency in strategic planning, creative execution and media planning.
• Provide strategic and creative direction to implement packaging, point of purchase and sales collateral design and production while working with a vendor and the Creative Services department.
• Assess potential strategic alliances to expand products sales and lifecycle.
• Indirectly manage and mentor junior level marketing team members and support staff.
