Manager of Technology

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Technology to join the team at our Glendale, CA studio.

The Manager, Technology will oversee multiple teams on various, ongoing projects to provide hardware, software, uninterrupted technical services and status reporting for artistic, technical and administrative users. The position requires technical expertise, project leadership experience and the proven ability to hire, train, and mentor technical support personnel of all experience levels. This position will be accountable for time, budget, and quality of solutions delivered. The successful candidate will develop strong working relationships with Production and Artistic leadership, fostering an environment of creativity, collaboration and excellence.

The Manager, Technology will work closely with the Sr. Systems Architect to identify, engineer, implement, and maintain business and production technology throughout the studio. The Manager will have a technical understanding of and proven experience with business and production technology, as well as be responsible for the technology necessary to work with multiple subcontracting studios. The Sr. Systems Architect will help provide technical vision and direction. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for creating department wide project management practices, and will utilize their skills and leadership to shape the future of technology at the studio.

Duties:
•Create technology strategy, plan, and best practices to meet business strategies
•Identify, secure, and implement production solutions, software, processes, and technology
•Identify and replace legacy systems
•Define requirements, generate quotes, procure & deploy hardware, manage 3rd party software licenses, product evaluations/demos and other services.
•Responsible for staffing, training, team building, performance management, and acknowledgement and rewarding of excellence in the technology department
•Long range strategic forecasting, yearly budgets and other tasks as needed
•Act as trusted advisor and consultant to Productions and Studio leadership
•Work closely with technology staff to ensure high level objectives are clearly understood and communicated
•Build an effective and motivated department through mentoring and leadership
