Do you love Halo? Do you want to be part of the creation of a new game in the Halo universe? Are you passionate about the tools and infrastructure necessary to make great games? The MGS Halo team is looking for a talented, experienced development lead to help create the next generation of Halo tools and technical infrastructure.

The infrastructure team is responsible for the tools and technology behind the scenes of the game, including automation, distributed light burning, logging/reporting, build generation/distribution, data aggregation, etc. This team works closely with the pipeline team and interacts with everyone in the studio to enable them to make great games. A strong infrastructure lead candidate has experience in an internal development environment, has managed a team before, understands the demands and processes of large scale software development (specifically in a game team), and is constantly looking for ways to make things better. This goes beyond isolated tools and includes build systems, "last known good" deployment, distributed data processing, and the systems and databases needed at the backend to make this happen.

Primary responsibilities:
Developing and extending the tools and technology infrastructure for the team
Understanding existing workflows in various disciplines and working with the pipeline lead to make them more efficient and less error-prone
Designing and delivering code for systems that run in the game during development and help report, isolate, and resolve problems in the game and development process
Creating studio wide policies/processes around Source Depot branches and TFS
Managing and growing other developers working within the team
Creating and owning an operations and support plan for development team
Fully maintaining and debugging tools and systems in the infrastructure space.
