Art Director

Description

Venan Entertainment is looking for a versatile, seasoned Art Director to lead our art department. The ideal candidate will have experience building and managing teams, work well with other departments and have intimate knowledge of building efficient workflows. They will also have a deep knowledge of video games and various art styles, and be able to adapt to the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders. Finally, they will be someone who is kind, friendly and respectful to their co-workers and who can build consensus and create an environment of creativity, collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities include:
- Defining art styles for our projects and developing style guides
- Ensuring consistency of style and vision throughout the production cycle
- Managing and mentoring staff artists
- Developing project schedules and ensuring deadlines are met
- Identifying, engaging, and managing contractors when needed
- Hiring new artists

Additionally, the Art Director may be required to do the following:
- Assisting in content creation
- Creating marketing materials
