Visual Designer

Description

The Visual Designer is responsible for the design of assigned projects taking them from concept to completion. The Visual Designer will also create user-centered design solutions that promote ease of use, employ best-in-class game/web interaction design, and optimize the user experience universally. This includes all phases of the design process including conceptual design/development, graphic and interface design. The Visual Designer will work closely with the Art Director to establish and maintain the visual integrity, brand standards, and consistency for the game and franchise.

Responsibilities:

• Create design solutions and graphics for the game and franchise
• Employ user-centered design practices to create world-class interactive game/web experiences
• Adapt creative styles as needed while maintaining creative, technical, and brand standards universally
• Translate rough concepts into working solutions
• Further the user experience toward a cohesive unified vision through hands-on design, having a critical eye toward developing a consistent product
• Translate customer and business requirements into viable design concepts that inspire team members and colleagues to develop the right product
• Contribute to the evolution of design policies and practices as they apply to the implementation of standards, interaction, color, typography, artwork, and all other visual/interactive expressions of the user experience
• Interface with key internal client and project stakeholders to ensure the user experience reflects customer needs and consistency
• Develop expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products/experiences and bring new ideas to the team
• Present and sell design concepts and support design from a practical standpoint
• Possess excellent understanding of style guidelines, design processes, and creative workflow
• Manage creative projects effectively and efficiently while maintaining priorities, deadlines and deliverables as set by the Art Director
• Make decisions regarding own work and make recommendations in regard to the department
