Technical Video Game Tester - Nintendo Specialist

Working under the QA Manager and World QA Coordinator, the Technical Video Game Tester - Nintendo Specialist will interface with development teams, QA, and producers to help reduce the cost and time spent on the beta testing phase on Nintendo projects (mainly DSiWare) while improving the quality of the final product.

The Technical Video Game Tester - Nintendo Specialist must be familiar with Nintendo's Lotcheck-related procedures and tools. Moreover, the successful candidate will need to become familiar with Gameloft’s internal development standards and methods quickly.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Create and update comprehensive test plans and test cases to be used by different Gameloft QA teams for ongoing and future Nintendo DSiWare projects.
• Understand and adapt Nintendo’s technical requirements by integrating them in QA checklists and the test strategy.
• Study Nintendo’ “fail reports” and include them in QA checklists.
• Communicate with producers, developers and testers to help solve problems and bugs.
• Answer questions from QA, developers and producers regarding Nintendo’s TRC (Technical Requirement Checklist) and in-house QA checklists.
• Research information on the Internet, forums, discussion groups, as well as through direct contact with manufacturers.
• Assist in improving Quality Assurance standards and procedures.
• Research and implement new and improved testing methods, processes, procedures, and tools.
