MGS is developing premiere interactive and creative content for Project Natal.

We’re looking for a talented, motivated and experienced Technical Artist.
This is a rare opportunity to join a seasoned, creatively driven team on an exciting next-generation Natal project.

Qualified individuals are expected to communicate and collaborate well with our highly creative development team and processes. Candidates will have a proven track record in creating a broad range of tools, techniques, workflows and pipelines for AAA games. Be well versed in programs like Softimage or equivalent program, as well as demonstrate experience with current pipelines, workflow and creation techniques

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technical Artist is responsible for carrying through the artistic vision of the project and applying their experience directly to the creation of solid artist driven workflows, automation tools, content pipelines, and asset management that are vital for the art team to deliver highest quality industry content to the game. Additionally, the Technical Artist needs to be able to work in multiple areas of the art department and be able to understand the needs of each unique area.

Responsibilities include:

- Work with department leads and software developers to create and implement robust content systems for art team
- Trouble shoot complex asset pipelines and solve them with efficient workflows and tools
- Support the content creation teams with tools, workflow, and pipelines to aid generation and implementation
- Provide unique solutions to improve the creative process in a collaborative environment
- Build workflows and pipelines that meet the needs of a Natal driven game
- Responsible for working with and seeking feedback from peers and leads
- Participate in meetings as part of effective communication with the team
- Be a positive and creative force in the team
- Responsible for following direction from the Art Director and Technical Art Director
- Will capably and consistently meet project deadlines and milestones set by the Technical Art Director and Art Director
- Mentor artists in best practices, processes, and procedures pertaining to production pipelines and workflows
