- Summary of Position:
The RenderMan Products Group is responsible for the development and support of Pixar's world-renowned rendering software. A RenderMan Customer Support Engineer acts as the front line of support for the users of our software. A Customer Support Engineer is responsible for interacting with Pixar's customers and the RenderMan development and sales staffs to provide the highest quality customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customers' queries; track open service requests.
- Work with RenderMan Sales to manage customer software licenses.
- Administer the customer support website and forums.
- Test new features and bug fixes as they appear.
- Give feedback to developers regarding the consistency and usability of new features.
- As an experienced user of the software, assist the documentation and training staff with preparation of documentation and presentations.

- Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux
- Knowledge of 3D computer graphics: RenderMan, OpenGL
- Experience with popular modeling and animation packages: Maya, XSI, 3ds Max
- Experience with website management tools: HTML, php, SQL, Python, and TCL
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Willingness to take initiative and resolve problems
- Ability to work in all levels of the organization
- Ability to work well independently within a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Must be customer service-oriented
