Environment Artist

Leaves on trees, eroding brick walls, shiny metal buildings, dark hallways and rocks… what do these things have in common? They are all elements that go into creating an environment, and we are looking for a superstar to help create an exciting new world for our characters to travel through. We are looking for an Environment Artist to join our dynamic and talented team!
In a nutshell, this position is responsible for creating the worlds where our games occur. This would include building, texturing, surfacing, and placing geometry in the game environment, based on the designers maps. This position allows for fantastic creative ideas, so bring them with you!


The following is a laundry list of essential duties and responsibilities- this is just the tip of the iceberg folks … and you know what they say about icebergs….

• Design environment assets.
• Model natural and architectural geometry.
• Place individual assets in a game environment.
• Set up uvs for environment objects.
• Create textures using both 3d paint and traditional texture painting techniques.
• Generate normal maps with mesh, filter, and Zbrush techniques.
• Create and applies complex shaders.
• Establish world lighting schemes.
• Collaborate with design and technology for problem-solving.
• Work effectively across a diverse variety of artistic styles.
