Job Description and Responsibilities:
Lead Animator for a young powerful video game company.

This project is a RARE and serious opportunity for any Animator looking for GREAT subject matter to bring to life. It's 100% hand keyed, original IP with all the serious makings of a HIT franchise.

*To create animation for a variety of playable characters, enemies and oversee the work of the entire animation team.
*To animate and oversee the production of high quality pre-rendered cinematics.
*Help develop characters, lead animation and train Jr. Animators.
*To bring a creative and positive attitude to the task of animating performances.
*To schedule/organize team's time, collaborate, and effectively communicate with programmers and design staff.
*Have FUN!
Requirements:
*A track record of leading teams. The successful candidate must thrive in a team environment and enjoy educating the other animators.
*The Lead Animator must hit the ground running and work in an established pipeline.
*Knowledge of Maya animation and rigging system. Experience in effects or lighting are a plus.
*Clear experience with in-game and cinematic process.
*A clear understanding and demonstration of all animation principles and work methods.
*At least 5 years experience in the industry (preferred, but slightly less experience will be acceptable with high level of skill).
*At least 2 published games under belt.
*At least 4 years experience with industry standard 3-D package (MAYA).
*Must be excellent problem solver with a very good understanding of the latest game processes and art techniques.
*Must be a good communicator both internally with entire team and externally with publishers *Must be able to adapt to the style, techniques, continuity and quality of artwork as set by the Art Director.
*Must be highly organized and be capable of producing and maintaining accurate project schedules.
*Must be pro-active in the solving of art-related problems for the game.
*Must be highly motivated and able to motivate other individuals.
*Must be able to work well within a team
Desired Skills and Pluses:
*Animation/drawing/sculpting skills a plus.
*Experience as a developer for more than one platform would be desirable but not a must.
