JOB OPENING: Rigger
LOCATION: Venice, California
Position Summary:
Digital Domain is expanding our team of Riggers to work on several major motion pictures. We are seeking Senior & Junior 3D Character Setup/Rigging Specialists. Riggers will work in-house at our studio, located in Venice, California. This position will mainly concern character rigging. The ideal candidates should also have experience scripting in Python and/or PERL, and have an eye for correct anatomical structure/movement of the human form.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Setup/Rig 3D digital content in a timely manner
· Organize/Manage/Maintain digital content assets
· Contribute to specifications for up coming character releases
- Requirements:
- Experience and Skills Required:
We are seeking experienced candidates who meet these minimum requirements:
· 1-3 years experience rigging characters in Maya in a production environment
· In-depth knowledge of Maya rigging tools including joint and skeleton creation, skinning and weighting, IK setup, blend-shapes, and deformers. The most current openings will be working primarily with blend shapes.
· Basic MEL scripting
· Strong understanding of anatomy including facial expressions
· Ability to learn quickly and comprehend custom in-house production tools
· Basic modeling skills including a good understanding of polygonal mesh flow.
