Position for our Montreal office
Under the responsibility of the team leader of 3D Development of Virtual Studio, the individual is responsible for designing, programming and testing software components.
Virtual Studio allows consumers to create 3D interior designs on the web. The role of the 3D Development team of Virtual Studio is to make this experience rich, intuitive and fun, combining innovative technologies for the interactivity, animation and real time rendering of the 3D content.
Detailed position description
• Design of software components according to the specifications provided.
• Conduct research on the best methods or algorithms to use.
• Participate in design and code review of software components.
• Code and test the software components.
• Document the design, the code and the technical choices that have been made.
• Conform to development standards that have been established.
• Ensure a smooth integration of new components in the application.
• Participate in development planning and help to establish development schedules.
• Complete the tasks according to the established timelines.
• Participate in team meetings.
Requirements:
Bachelor or Master's in Computer Science
• At least 7 years of experience in software development
Required technical expertise
• Command of C++ programming language
• Experience in 3D
• Experience with OpenGL or Direct3D
Other optional expertise
• Experience in the development of shaders
• Experience with geometry algorithms
• Experience in fine tuning the performance of graphics rendering or of a software application
• Bilingual, spoken and written (French, English)
