- Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced, creative and energetic nonlinear video editor to work in its DVD\video production department. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with green screen techniques, compression, and DVD authoring. Knowledge of Blizzard Entertainment’s intellectual properties is a plus.
Applicants must have the ability to work independently or within a team environment to edit gameplay sequences and trailers and to design original broadcast graphics, DVD interfaces, and navigation interfaces. At least 5-8 years of professional experience (not including college coursework) in a TV studio, production house, or ad agency focusing on trailer or commercial production is required.
An online portfolio or DVD of recent work is required. We are only considering highly experienced candidates at this time.
- Requirements:
- • Knowledge of design principles and current tools including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and one or more 3D packages
• Creative editing style and desire to tell a story
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under stress
• Desire to learn new tasks and be challenged
• Self-motivation
• Technical savvy and an understanding of interactive technology
• Ability to take direction
• Attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Passion for film, animation, and games
