Graphic/Web Designer: Dart Container

- Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and implement features and content for the Dart corporate website and related company websites.
Specific Duties:
1. Design and implement new website features and content, including graphic design, site navigation,and layout of content.
2. Expand upon, and further develop, the existing content, design, and functionality of areas within the Dart corporate website and related company websites.
3. Ensure that the layout of website content is logical and easy to navigate: recommend improvements if necessary.
4. Collaborate with various Dart personnel on aspects associated with the design, development, and implementation of the content and navigation for the Dart corporate website and related company websites.
5. Determine how images and other material will be digitally optimized and presented for the web.
6. Test the website for functionality in different browsers.
- Requirements:
- - Associate’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science or Graphic Design.
- Web design experience either with, or for, a multi-department/multi-faceted company.
- Advanced proficiency using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator software.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Flash.
- Experience on a MacIntosh platform preferred.
- Strong graphic design skills with an attention to detail related to web design . (i.e. typography, color palettes, layout, etc.)
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to relate technical knowledge to non-technical users.
- Good written communication skills.
- Basic math skills, including the use of decimals and fractions.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to listen to internal customer needs.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize daily tasks.
- Ability to work well with others; teamwork skills.
- Professional portfolio containing applicant created websites required.
