Instructor or Lecturer, Games and Interactive Media
The Opportunity
The Games and Interactive Media (GaIM) program in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media (NSCM) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer position, anticipated to begin in August 2024.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the GaIM mission by teaching upper-division undergraduate courses in game or web design and programming. Based on the current workload policy, the teaching load for the position will be four courses per semester. Participation in school and university service, including committee work, is also expected.
The GaIM program is a large and growing top 10-ranked game design program (Princeton Review) that can teach games and interactive media courses including, but not limited to, game, web, XR, design, and storytelling. The GaIM program is part of NSCM, which has other programs in the area of communication, film and mass media, and industry game development (FIEA) and is located at UCF's downtown campus. NSCM is a large, student-centered school with a collegial and friendly faculty and staff.
