SYON MEDIA - Since its inception, Syon Media has been active in film and television production and coproduction as well as acquiring and developing original creative properties in both fields of live-action and animation.

Syon Media launched its first feature co-production in May 2005. Guy X is a Canada-UK-Iceland partnership with Films and Music Entertainment (UK) and Ex Elf (Iceland). The film was directed by Saul Metzstein and stars Jason Biggs, Natascha McHelhone and Jeremy Northam. Saul Metzstein and Jason Biggs were awarded the Best Director and Best Actor prizes at the Taormina FilmFest (Italy-2006).

In 2007 Syon Media co-produced Changing Climates, Changing Times, a France-Canada co-production directed by Marion Milne (UK) and starring Nancy Tate, Vernon Doptcheff, David La Haye and Tantoo Cardinal. The film was a Canadian inter-provincial co-production with Calgary production house Voice Pictures Ltd and was launched in April 2008.

In 2009 Syon Media co-produced the first 2 seasons of France's animated 3D TV series The Podcats with Okidoki and Groupe Morgane. The show aired on FR3 and on several networks in Europe. The format was 52 x 11 min and was animated entirely in Montreal by Mokko Studio.

In 2012, Syon Media acquired the rights to the European comic book series "Le Rêve du Papillon", published by Dargaud (France) and Zhi Yin (China) and is currently developing a trans-media property involving a live-action feature film, animated TV Series and other interactive media.

In order to have access to topflight animation and special effects production, Syon Media has partnered with Mokko Studio, a Montreal and Beijing based animation and digital effects studio.
