Job Description
Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets ofthe online learning environment. Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, diversity, and ethics as well as personal and professional development. Actively engage in retention activities.
•Deliver online class instruction of the approved online course as assigned up to the maximum number of contact hours allowed by current accreditation. Manage the online class environment.
•Deliver learner-centered instruction through distance delivery mechanisms.
•Provide assistance for the planning, development and maintenance of program curriculum.
•Encourage student success and actively engage in retention activities including documented communication with both
•students and administration regarding attendance and progress.
•Assist in resolving student complaints.
•Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth.
•Attend annual graduation ceremony.
•Attend scheduled program meetings, in-service workshops and college wide faculty meetings.
•Adhere to and publicly support Academy policies and procedures, included but not limited to the faculty handbook, and catalog.

Required Skills
•Online Instructors require knowledge of online delivery methods, principles and techniques.
•Developed teaching methods and performance development plan, includes teaching in-services.
•Demonstrates CEC Standards as defined for faculty members:
- Communication, Assessment of Student Learning, Pedagogical Mastery, Course Subject Matter Expertise, Utilization of Technology, Teaching Diverse Learners, Student Engagement Protocol Adherence, Promotion of Active Student Learning, Operating within Educational System, and Demonstration of Scholarship.
•Successful completion of the Online Faculty Training course. Willingness to work in an accelerated learning format and to work online with students five of seven days per online week without missing two consecutive days. Access to computer, phone line and internet at home.
Required Experience
•Bachelors Degree in related field required; Masters preferred
•Graduation from an accredited program or an otherwise recognized training entity in the specialty field or subject area.
•Possesses a minimum of two (2) years of occupational (i.e., practical) experience in the subject field in which they teach
•Proficient in:
- AutoDesk Maya
- AutoDesk Mudbox
- Unreal Game Engine
•Working knowledge of Adobe Flash preferred
•Working knowledge of ActionScript 3 preferred
