VFX Technical Director
The VFX TD is responsible for helping the Asset Supervisor and VFX Supervisor fulfill their creative vision by producing high quality lighting, texturing, rendering and compositing shots for multiple CG productions. Under the supervision of the VFX Supervisor, the VFX TD works with the CG CORE Team to develop the aesthetics and pipeline for current CG projects. The VFX TD will also assist the VFX Supervisor with developing new techniques, visual development, and pipeline standards for new projects.. This position requires working closely with the CG Animation, RnD, and Episodic Leads.
•Work with the show Leads and the R&D and Animation teams to create rigging and scripting pipeline solutions
•Primary responsibilities are lighting, texturing, rendering and compositing shots for current and future productions.
•Create and develop light rigs, shaders and tools to further advance the lighting, texturing and compositing pipelines.
•Work with lead artists to troubleshoot VFX issues for shows currently in production.
•Must have an excellent eye for color and composition.
•Must have advanced knowledge and experience in lighting, texturing, rendering and shader development in Maya.
•Advanced experience using and troubleshooting Mental shaders and rendering.
•Proficient in Maya, Nuke, and Photoshop.
•Work with the show Leads, R&D, and Animation teams to create rigging and scripting pipeline solutions
