Support Consultant

Description

Support Consultant

Location: Los Angeles

We're looking for a Support Consultant to join our team.  We're a young and growing company building software for the visual effects, feature animation, and video game industries.

We have one main product called Shotgun.  It is a flexible web-based "production tracking and collaboration" application.  It is designed for everyone working in the studio across many roles and needs. Shotgun is a web-based Software as a Service (SaaS).  We host roughly 350 client sites in the cloud and have approximately 40 clients with Shotgun installed in their local infrastructure.

You will be responsible for helping our customers use Shotgun as effectively as possible to fulfill their production tracking needs.  You’ll need to be able to listen and understand a variety of pipelines, workflows and requirements quickly.  You’ll be able to offer advice and support to help studios achieve the best efficiency in their production processes using Shotgun. You will also be responsible for helping customers who are new to Shotgun get up and running quickly.

We love our customers. You’ll have the opportunity to work with fantastic people in a huge variety of studios across film, vfx, animation, games, and many other media-related studios. You'll meet some great people and be exposed to a breadth of information about these industries that's difficult to achieve within a single studio.

You’ll get to work with a passionate, like-minded team, supporting people working in an industry you love, and be part of a growing company.  You’ll be working with studios local to your location, and remotely with studios from around the world.

  • Someone who gets a kick out of helping. You’ll enjoy explaining how something works and solving problems for people.
  • Fair knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems
  • Independent, strong problem solving and communication skill
  • Flexible working hours
  • Bonus points for: An interest in software, technology, and pipelines (you were probably the power user in your team) and you like to figure out how to make things work better.

About Us

We're a boutique software company distributed all over the world focused on building software for the Visual Effects, Feature Animation, and Video Game industries.

Our first product is called Shotgun, which is a web based production tracking and collaboration system for digital studios. We have been building the software in partnership with more then 20 studios in the industry and are preparing a public launch in the summer of 2009.

Our vision is to build software that takes the pain out of production and allows artists and managers to use their skills and time to get their best work done instead of wrangling data.

This is a cool place to work.  Most of us are foodies, we love good wine, and we're becoming obsessed with coffee.  We have a strict no-asshole rule, and are trying to build a dream team of people who inspire us every day.

We'll pay you what you are worth, give you lots of flexibility and challenges, and although we're all passionate and work hard, we insist that you have a healthy work/life balance.
