Lead Server Developer
Description
GPG is looking for a lead server
developer to join our team on the ground floor of the development of a new and
exciting online platform and destination. You'll be responsible for
owning the development and management of the online backend, while providing
oversight and input towards our online strategy and architecture.

Manage the engineering effort on the platform.

Identify and investigate backend requirements
and solutions in regards to performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
·
Serve as an expert resource on matters of data
architecture.
Requirements
·
Experience in designing and developing
low-latency, highly scalable, and highly available distributed server
applications.
·
Solid understanding of SQL and database systems.
·
Broad knowledge of online technologies and
components, particularly open source technologies; and experience evaluating
and selecting technologies for specific use cases.
·
Highly motivated self-starter, who thrives in a
fast-past environment and can work independently with minimal supervision.
·
A desire to get in on the ground floor of the
next generation of web application development!
