Software (Animation) Engineer (All Levels)
Bungie is seeking a Software (Animation) Engineer to further its ongoing global conquest and to develop cutting edge animation systems and pipelines. We need a skilled engineer who can inspire awe and wonder with the merest tap of a keyboard and who can propel our animation team to greater heights with better tools, trinkets and techniques. Key responsibilities will include:
· Working with animators, physics and AI to bring Bungie’s characters to life
· Raising the bar on fluidity of object motion in games
· Being responsible for large sections of the engine and tackle the resulting challenges and opportunities
Requirements
· Professional experience programming in the game industry and proven ability to independently design and maintain large software systems OR
· Prior game programming experience via professional, academic, personal or intern projects
· Understanding of animation techniques
· Solid foundation of animation related mathematics and physics
· Experience writing robust, efficient and maintainable C/C++ code
· Familiarity with the workings of current animation and modeling packages
· Proven ability to independently design and maintain complex software systems
· Ability to translate feature requests into robust and extensible customer systems
· Passion for great games, great technology and gameplay programming
· Experience working on a team and excellent communication skills
