Background Designer
Description
- Create background keys and backgrounds as
required.
- Attend storyboard breakdown
meetings.
- Inform appropriate production staff of
designs and reference needed for reuse.
- Review BGs against storyboards for
continuity and missing elements.
- Communicate daily with appropriate
production staff.
- Alert LP/PM immediately if deadlines are in
jeopardy.
- Assist with special projects
- May be responsible for color lead sheets
Requirements
- Strong background design skills
- Thorough understanding of perspective
- Software knowledge in Photoshop
- Hardware knowledge in Cintiq and Mac/PC
versatile
Education/Experience:
- 2-3 yrs of T.V. series experience, or
feature equivalent
