Front-End Programmer
Description
The position:
This person will implement the graphical user experience for
a series of multi-touch devices that range from commercial smart phones and
tablets to large multi-touch tables and digital boards. He or she will create visual consoles and buttons by creating/taking
Photoshop mock-ups and turning them into front-end applications using graphic
frameworks (Adobe Flash ActionScript, QT, Processing, Open frameworks and the
like). The candidate will be
working in the context of an interactive architecture project currently under
construction that will be experienced by thousands of people per year.
Requirements
What we are looking
for:
This person needs to be passionate about understanding the
contents of the user experience we are trying to create, and can then turn that
understanding into a concrete, usable GUI that is attractive and easy to use. He/she
has the skills to design backgrounds, icons, visual effects and transitions and
in general and is happy to spend the necessary time to craft the best look and
feel for the experience.
