VFX Artist - Lightwave 3D/Fusion Comp

Description

We're creating a new team of highly experienced freelancers with superpowers and great attitudes to join our GREEN TEAM to work on a low budget creature film.

Seeking experienced master level LIGHTWAVE and FUSION generalists with demonstrable demo reel skills with fur, modeling, city destruction, crowds and motion capture.  Fast, capable and positive attitudes win!

Work begins in early September and carries through to the end of January.  Pay is weekly freelance.  There are two hundred or more complicated shots on a tight deadline.

Members of the team may be able to carry over after delivery to additional projects as necessary.

Requirements

Lightwave 3D for modeling/VFX/rendering and Fusion compositing only.

We do have a seat of Motionbuilder and a seat of City Engine available to augment our processwhen  those tools can be used with Lightwave to achieve our goals in a timely fashion.

Ability to do two or more of the following at a high or master level: animate, light, rig, composite, create dynamics, storyboard

A professional and positive attitude.  Though we may work on efficient budget, tight-timeline films we still approach each project determined to bring the best we can to the final result.  We also strive for a light-hearted and pro-style work environment.

Demo reel or clips that show you have already created similar work (available online preferred).  If done as part of a team, please indicate how much and what part of that experience you can bring that would most benefit our project.

Ability to work FAST and EFFICIENT with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of tried and true results required.

PLUSES: Furred creature television or film experience, City Destruction, artificial and carded crowd work

Prefer available to work in-shop at our facility in Burbank, possibly evenings (or can work from home if you have the software and hardware) until we have our new additional VFX space completed (about two to three weeks from start date).  Freelance out of shop a consideration if the work and equipment/software capacity is up to the quality, speed and capacity needed to deliver the work. Early September through end of January.
