JOB TITLE: Sr. Database Administrator

DEPARTMENT: Portal & Platform

REPORTS TO (Title): Lead Database Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for managing and administering the database infrastructure for corporate and game environments. This includes planning, performance tuning and supporting all database applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures that database design fulfills requirements; lead team members to project completion; review deliverables throughout development to ensure requirements are met
Work with various departments to create and maintain the overall data architecture, priorities and success measures for the systems; optimize database function by index creation and tuning
Process documentation
Mentor other Database Administrators and provide feedback
Research industry trends and recommend best practices and new features
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Work Experience

6+ years of database management/administration experience
Mentor/leadership experience
Data Warehousing experience
Database research experience preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of SQL
Strong ETL Programming (SSIS/SQL) skills
