seeking applications for the following position.
Assistant Professor of Digital Media and Animation
Teaching
occurs in both lecture and applied lab/studio environments requiring
interpersonal skills in teaching and creative problem solving. This new
and expanding department offers both AAS and BS degrees in Digital Media
and Animation. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the
3D animation pipeline, including storyboarding, modeling, texturing,
lighting, rendering and character animation. In addition to instruction,
he or she will be responsible for curriculum and course development,
student advisement, student recruitment, committee involvement, and
on-going professional scholarship.
Requirements
Candidates must
hold a terminal degree (MFA or Ph.D.) in the discipline or a related
field; significant experience working with Maya and Adobe Creative Suite
software; capability to teach courses in 3D as well as other areas of
the Digital Media & Animation curricula; and a strong portfolio of
creative/professional work.
