Advanced Technical Artist, UI Design

Do you like cars? Do you love technology? Do you think that user experience design matters? We are looking for a highly skilled 3D graphics technical artist to work on creating the next generation of user interfaces for the BMW Group in and outside of the car. You will work locally with a team of engineers and designers at the BMW Advaned Technology Group - North America, located in Mountain View, California, along with a distributed team around the globe, to develop innovative, individual and premium user experiences. The ideal candidate is a visionary and creative person who has a great intellectual feel for what makes a great user experience within interface design. He/she combines great technical understanding and knowledge with a good understanding for fundamental usability and visual aesthetics. You should be a proactive problem solver with both a high interest and knowledge of current interactive media technologies and also an innovative mindset with regards to identifying upcoming influences for the user interface of the future. As we are a small team working within a larger distributed team, it is critical that the technical artist is also capable of both managing his/her own time and tasks, as well as communicating to a larger, distributed team of internal and external partners.
