Modeling Instructor / Modeling Supervisor
The Digital Animation & Visual Effects School at Universal Studios Orlando is building an amazing team of educators/production supervisors to deliver a bleeding edge curriculum unlike anything that has come before.
Our program is centered around 6 departmental production supervisors who split their time between providing introductory lectures to new students and supervising the work done by our "seniors" in a mini-studio production pipeline that creates feature length animated films over the course of several classes.
The first new member to be recruited for this team is a modeling supervisor.
You will work with our Director of Education to refine a 12 week plan to introduce MAYA and provide in depth training in ZBrush and Modo to our students. If you have exceptional skills as a MAYA modeler but do not know Modo, we will give you time to learn. ZBrush or Mudbox proficiency is critical. This includes basic shading.
Starting in late 2013, you will also work with our film's Director to oversee the creation of the best student produced production assets possible.
The best part is that this is a low stress environment. You can expect to work 40 hours a week and no more. You will get to see your kids before they go to bed and do whatever you want on the weekends! Orlando is also a GREAT place to live and work.
