2D Artist

Description

We are looking for a 2D artist. The focus for this position will be on providing the art needed to help realize the visual aspects for the game from initial concept to practical application. Responsibilities include creating of concepts that support / further the vision of the game, painting textures for use on in-game assets and working to provide a consistent aesthetic for the team. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp of composition, color, painting, and visual design.

LOCATION:

The 2D Artist will be located in Ljubljana.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with Artists to create and implement their assets into the game
• creating concepts for game assets, characters
• painting textures for game assets, characters
• Under the Art Director’s guidance, establish and achieve the desired style and visual look
• Collaborate with the Technical Artists 
• Ensure the quality, consistency of textures
• Participate as a proactive team member to further team and project goals

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Exceptional understanding of visual principles including form, shape, composition, design, and how they relate to game development specifically
• Superior eye for lighting, value, colour and details, and the ability to use them in creating beautiful textures and concept art
• Experience with 3D tools or peripherals such as Maya, Mari, Unity
• Passion for creating charming and lighthearted imagery
• Previous game production experience
• A passion for games
• Strong understanding of Outfit7 visual style and the vision to take it in new and challenging directions
• Self motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within a team
• Positive attitude with the ability to receive and provide objective feedback
• Strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills (ideally multilingual).
• Great knowledge of English

COMPENSATION

An attractive compensation package will be constructed consisting of base salary and participation through stock option plan.
