Software Developer – all levels

advertising and feature film industries. We are constantly looking for the best

We are looking for passionate and
enthusiastic software developers to work in a team of engineers responsible for
creating software for upcoming feature film projects. This team works
hand-in-hand with vfx and cg supervisors, providing the tools and technologies
used to create the stunning imagery for our clients. It is a highly dynamic
environment, which requires a cool head, creative thinking and pragmatic
problem solving. The team needs people who are able to take initiative, develop
software of the highest quality, and think beyond the scope of each development
task.
Primary responsibilities:

Identifying changing requirements and recommending
solutions
·
Researching new technologies
·
Designing, architecting and implementing vfx tools
and technologies
Desirable skills and experience:
·
Experience in a VFX facility (or equivalent
industry)
·
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a Technical
Animation Degree
·
Understanding of computer graphics, mathematics,
and physics/simulation
·
Knowledge of C++, Python
·
Experience with Maya (both as user and developer)
·
Experience with Linux (or other Unix) operating
system
·
Organization and communication skills, proven team
player
- A special interest in one of the following areas
- Simulation/Dynamics (hair,
fur, cloth, crowds, fluids)
- Lighting/rendering/shading
technologies – CPU and GPU
- Environments, vegetation,
procedural modelling/texturing tools
- Animation and rigging tools
- Pipeline, asset management,
production management
